The careful mixing of sherry and rum leads to a completely new world of taste.”says Jörn Fechner. For the final touch, the matured rum is refined in a newly developed process together with a historic Pedro Ximénez sherry in the still. The inimitably complex flavour nuances of these matured sherries from the years 1830, 1910 and 1930 give the rum a previously unimagined depth. The noble Black Tie Cuba Rum meets Pedro Ximénez is extremely rare. The oldest components of the sherry blended here are almost 200 years old. He tells adventurous stories from another time. The bouquet is breathtaking, as it is constantly evolving in the glass. A potpourri of coffee aromas, dark chocolate, cedar wood, tobacco and speculoos spice. Later, it is joined by a floral violet scent with notes of dried fruit. On the palate, an exciting mixture of apricots, raisins, chocolate, vanilla and honey unfolds, vaguely reminiscent of a matured Sauternes.
