The color of light becomes the color of enlightenment in a figurative sense. Yellow stands for knowledge, wisdom, reason and logic. Well, and the gods aren't far away either – which in turn has to do with the good sun. She was worshipped as a god by many primitive peoples.

The ancient Greeks imagined the Greek sun god Helios as a figure in a yellow robe driving through the sky on a chariot drawn by four fire horses. The brilliant yellow light of the sun and its gods embodied divine intelligence. The Christian god is symbolically depicted as a yellow triangle with one eye. In China, the color is associated with the masculine yang, the active creative principle. First the ancient Egyptians, but later also the painter Franz Marc, broke out here: they saw the feminine in yellow, the “gentle, cheerful, sensual”. And when black is added, it immediately becomes dangerous: Anyone who encounters the combination of yellow and black in nature should be careful. Poisonous animals love this paint, as do explosive and radioactive substances and dangerous edges.

Yellow is not your favorite color? Well, maybe that’s still to come. Because yellow is happily playing for time: it is more popular with older people than with younger people. Want more? GIFT OF THE GODS FROM THE HONEYCOMB

From a purely visual point of view, royal jelly resembles “normal” honey. However, its meaning and color differ markedly from milky white to deep honey yellow. Royal jelly was already known in ancient times. The Greeks believed that it provided eternal youth in ambrosia – the potion of the Olympian gods. Zeus, the father of the gods, was nicknamed the “king of bees” and bees were considered messengers of the gods and “birds of the muses”. Honey was considered a source of wisdom, eloquence and poetry, but was also scientifically investigated by the physician Hippocrates, who lived from 466 to 377 BC, and used specifically as a remedy. Aristotle (384 to 322 BC) wrote the first textbook on beekeeping. At his school of philosophy in Athens, honey and royal jelly were part of the breakfast. For human consumption, it is obtained in special apiaries. It is and will always be something special.

FULL CONCENTRATION

Attention, yellow! This color appears like a lightning bolt and has a signal effect. That’s why yellow stands for spontaneity and impulsiveness. As a single colour, red has the highest signal value – yellow is the very serious precursor. Traffic lights know that, and so do footballers. Wassily Kandinsky, Russian painter, graphic artist and art theorist, says about the effect of yellow: “The bright lemon yellow hurts the eye after a long time, like a sharp-sounding trumpet hurts the ear. It worries man, it stings and upsets him. And then there’s the trend color yellow. After all, the future will probably once again offer a car world with a greater variety of colours – although it is true that even noble vehicles should and may be all the more colourful. Bentley’s latest models are the epitome of glamour in an incredible range of colours. These colours embody the spirit of times gone by – and are interpreted in a modern way: soft colour palettes and striking designs that illustrate the uniqueness of classic automobiles. Bentley’s specialists bring visions to life, helping to embody not only the charm and grandeur of yesteryear, but also the sophistication and grace of Bentley’s modern craftsmanship.
