Stephan Boya - sustainable luxury cashmere fashion with cool elegance and in modern colours.

As a feel-good place for fashion lovers in Munich – this is probably the best way to describe the new concept store of the German cashmere label Stephan Boya . In the shop at Kosttor 2, located around the corner from Maximiliansstraße, you will find cuddly soft cashmere pieces that stand for timeless chic.

The luxurious creations with a clear silhouette and loose cuts are available for women and men – from comfortable turtlenecks to stylish cardigans and sweaters. The colours are classic and modern at the same time. For the autumn/winter 2021 collection called “Clarity”, this means, among other things: warm sunshine yellow, dark rosewood, pine green and deep brown.

“Now, for autumn and winter, we’re combining different knit textures and cable knits or moss stitch with jersey,” says designer Glenda Scipio. “Every single piece is meant to satisfy the desire for warmth and security.” Fittingly, Stephan Boya’s slogan is “Wear Our Cashmere Naked”, because all pieces are true skin flatterers, wonderfully soft and cuddly.

The “Luxury Loungewear Capsule Collection” by Stephan Boya also provides an optimal feel-good flair with cuddly jogging pants, casual knitted coats as well as cozy blankets and socks – of course also made of 100 percent cashmere and even machine washable (in the wool wash program at a maximum of 30 degrees).

The material is sustainably extracted in Inner Mongolia and produced in Nepal in a resource-saving manner. “When a product is made from one of the highest quality natural fibres in the world, you have to handle it responsibly,” says Glenda Scipio. The fact that the offspring of the factory employees are offered childcare in addition to school fees and transport is a matter of course for her and her business partner Stephan Fahning. “There is a lot of empathy there in Nepal – we are also regularly on site and colleagues and business partners have become friends,” says Stephan Fahning.

The sustainable production of cashmere creations also consists of producing small quantities. “Each piece is only produced by pre-order to prevent oversupply,” says Glenda Scipio.

The couple founded their brand Stephan Boya in Hamburg in 2009. In addition to the online shop, the noble creations are also available in the traditional Munich house Lodenfrey and at other exclusive retailers in Germany. This was followed in 2018 by the flagship store on Sylt, and in 2020 by the store in Munich’s old town.

The central location and bright furnishings with lots of wood ensure a relaxed shopping experience. “We want our customers to feel comfortable in the store, to be able to linger there and try on their favorite pieces in peace,” says Glenda Scipio. “Our pieces are also very versatile and can be worn at home on the sofa, but also in the evening when visiting the theatre or in a chic restaurant,” adds Stephan Fahning.

Exclusive accessories such as scented candles, bed linen and handmade raffia bags from the label Ibeliv from Madagascar complete the range of the new Stephan Boya store – a place to feel good.
