The 2024 edition continued this tradition from 17 to 19 May in the park of Casa Maria Luigia in Modena and the concept of the “boutique” event was maintained. Twenty-five Ferraris from different eras were presented, including both road and racing cars. The prizes were designed by Pininfarina and manufactured by Bacchelli & Villa.
A balance between strict evaluation and Bottura’s culinary mastery
The formula mirrored that which had underpinned the worldwide success of Cavallino Classic and Cavallino Magazine in Palm Beach: a carefully selected and professional panel of experienced American judges who adhered to the rules of the IAC/PFA (International Advisory Council for the Preservation of Ferrari Automobiles), complemented by hospitality of the highest calibre. Casa Maria Luigia, the guest house founded by renowned chef Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore, offered celebrated cuisine, art and music in an environment where every detail is carefully considered. This mirrored the experience offered to Palm Beach Cavallino Classic attendees every January at the famous The Breakers.

A publicly accessible tribute to Enzo Ferrari in his birthplace
The participating Ferraris were set up in the green areas around Casa Maria Luigia and in the inner courtyard. They were set up on Friday afternoon, 17 May, and judged on Saturday morning. As this was a purely private event, limited to the participants and a few selected guests, the cars were driven through Modena to the MEF, the museum of the Enzo Ferrari birthplace, on Saturday afternoon, 18 May, to receive the platinum award.
The cars were driven in a parade and then lined up together on the large forecourt. The public had free access to the MEF area where the ceremony took place.

On the roads of the Ferrari test drivers
On Sunday, the cars travelled through Maranello on the traditional routes of the Ferrari test drivers to the Roncolo di Quattro Castella at Casa Canossa, the Italian headquarters of Canossa, for the closing ceremony and a traditional Emilian lunch.
This was the fourth edition of the Cavallino Classic Modena. Best of Show winners from previous editions included the Ferrari 250 Europa, Ferrari 340 America, Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Passo Corto, Ferrari 250 Interim, Ferrari 410 Superamerica and the Ferrari 212 Export 1951.
Riva, RM Sotheby’s and Ferrari Trento are among the partners of the Cavallino Modena
The event combined its excellence with its prestigious partners: Riva with its first all-electric motorboat El-Iseo and models of its famous boats, recognised worldwide as an expression of historic Italian excellence and the perfect complement to Ferrari; RM Sotheby’s, the famous international auction house that recently auctioned a rare 250 GTO in New York; and the renowned Ferrari Trento, known worldwide as the official toast of Formula 1®. There are also premium brands such as Bang & Olufsen, Tassoni, Schedoni, Revel X and Blackfin.
