In the opening match, defending champion Team Intocast defeated French team Veuve Clicquot 9 to 5 to secure a spot in the semifinals. Team captain Matthias Norman was pleased but stressed the challenges, especially for his player, who was playing on snow for only the second time.+
The second match between Team Engel & Völkers and Team World Polo League ended with a narrow lead for Engel & Völkers (3) with 2 1/2 over World Polo League (2 1/2) and promises excitement for the upcoming matches.
In the second half of the day, Team BOOOST defeated Team Casablanca 6 to 3 1/2. Team Casablanca started with a half-goal lead due to the higher handicap of Team BOOOST (12 – Casablanca 11).
The day ended with the duel between Team Bentley with Melissa Ganzi and Team Bendura Bank. Melissa Ganzi secured the victory with 11 to 7 1/2 and will face Team BOOOST tomorrow in the semifinals.
After a successful Friday, the organizer expects a record number of spectators on the next two days as well.
