As part of Monterey Car Week , Alcantara focused on customised luxury solutions and worked together with leading car manufacturers to create exclusive interiors for the finest vehicles.

Monterey Car Week is one of the world’s most famous car shows. At this prestigious classic car show and competition, historic and rare automobiles are judged on their historical accuracy, technical merit and style. The best receive a prize and recognition.

Alcantara and Gunther Werks have teamed up to personalise the GWR and Turbo models that will be unveiled for the first time at the 2024 edition of The Quail, a motorsport gathering during Monterey Car Week. The Alcantara design team has collaborated on an outstanding interior application for these two special edition models that not only enhances the driving experience of the cars, but characterises the vehicle in a unique and distinctive way. The GWR model presents a laser perforated pattern on black Alcantara with a solid gold backing on the Gen.2 seats and lower dashboard. The same technology was used for the Turbo, which features a specially designed laser perforated pattern on red Alcantara with a special green backing on the Gen.3 seats and lower dashboard.

This exclusive design sets a new benchmark for the use of Alcantara in the automotive sector, creating a perfect balance between the original interior and newly designed luxurious and performance-orientated elements. Eccentrica, a San Marino-based restomod manufacturer, presented its fully drivable Eccentrica V12, a modern interpretation of the legendary Lamborghini Diablo, at The Quail worldwide. The limited edition vehicle combines the classic aesthetics of the Diablo with state-of-the-art technology and presents a new, powerful 60° naturally aspirated V12 engine for the first time. The bucket seats in ice-coloured Alcantara tell the story of the nineties with their enveloping lines and square cushions divided by horizontal lines on which the embossed logo stands out. The two crossed C’s are repeated and form a decorative line. The side panelling of the seat, the headlining and the steering wheel are also made of Alcantara. This functional decision ensures a good grip when cornering, breathability and gives the seat a timeless elegance.

The centre tunnel, which flows seamlessly into the dashboard, is upholstered in a single colour of blue Alcantara, as are the door panels. The seamless dashboard conveys a feeling of width and linearity that perfectly complements the stylish combination of carbon fibre and Alcantara.

At

The Quail, Alcantara has also been featured in other luxury cars, such as the Rimac Nevera R, a new model in the Nevera family. The Nevera R is an exciting evolution designed as an aggressive counterpart to the original Nevera, transforming from a hyper-GT into a hyper-sports car. The interior impresses with dark grey Alcantara, which further intensifies the driving experience.

Made in Italy was emphasised by

Maserati, which presented the Maserati GT2 Stradale, a tribute to the most extraordinary and exclusive sportiness. This model is the result of technical and stylistic choices, including Alcantara. The material is available in blue for the seats and in grey for the dashboard and steering wheel.

After its world premiere, Hispano Suiza celebrated its appearance at The Quail with the Carmen Segrera model. The electric hypercar impresses with its bold design and sporty character and features black Alcantara with a perforation in the centre of the seats. The door panels, steering wheel and dashboard are also finished in black Alcantara, emphasising the exclusivity and quality.

Conclusion: The Monterey Car Week offered Alcantara an ideal stage, to present itself as an exclusive luxury brand and preferred partner of leading car manufacturers. In doing so, the company was able to demonstrate its outstanding ability to create exceptional, versatile and sensational products, to create exceptional, versatile and eye-catching products.
