A culinary jewel is hidden in the heart of the Ruhr region: Kelbaßa Feinkost. René and Oliver Kelbaßa's secret to success is simple: simply good and regional ingredients.

For their meat, they rely on Naturverbund and Biofleisch NRW – but when it comes to wine or exotic delicacies, they naturally also look beyond the Ruhr region. The main thing is that it tastes good and the quality is right. Kelbaßa Feinkost is an exceptional delicatessen. The homemade specialities from its twelve-metre-long counter are the shop’s trademark. From savoury quiches and creamy burrata to fresh Gillardeau oysters – it’s hard to choose. The menu for the (take-away) dishes changes weekly. Even regulars never get bored!

From butcher’s shop to delicatessen

René and Oliver Kelbaßa have been running their delicatessen since 2019. They took over from René’s mother, who retired due to her age. At that time, it was still a traditional butcher’s shop. The transition to a modern delicatessen has been a marvellous success for the two men. The range now even includes a considerable selection of wines. The wines can also be enjoyed by the glass in their bistro area. At Kelbaßa Feinkost, guests can not only shop, but also savour the delicacies on the spot. It’s worth a visit!
